In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 and enjoins piety? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
