Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
