Destiny (Al-Qadr)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

We sent this (the Holy Koran) down on the Night of Honor. 1 And what have you understood, what the Night of Destiny is! 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees. 4 This Night is all peace until the break of dawn. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
