Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 And when the earth throws out its burdens, 2 when man asks, "What is happening to her?"; 3 On that day the earth will declare all (the activities of the human being) which have taken place on it, 4 Because your Lord sent a command to it. 5 That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. 6 So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 7 And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
