The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 and earth brings forth her burdens, 2 the human being will say (in horror), "What is happening to it?" 3 On that day earth will narrate its news, 4 as thy Sustainer will have inspired her to do! 5 On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works. 6 Whosoever has done even an atom's weight of good will behold it; 7 and whoever has done an atom's weight of evil, will also see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
