The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
