The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
