Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
