The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
