The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
