The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
