The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The Striking Calamity - 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed, 4 and the mountains shall be like plucked wool-tufts. 5 Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, 6 He shall be in a life well-pleasing. 7 But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what shall make thee know that which she is? 10 A fire hotly burning! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
