Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you reach your graves. 2 You shall know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
