Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But you will soon come to know. 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
