Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
