Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
