Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8
God the Almighty always says the truth.
