The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In outstretched columns. 9
