The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
