The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 closed around them 8 in towering columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
