The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9
