The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In extending columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
