The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
