The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
