The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in columns outstretched. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
