The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extending columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
