Believers! Do not swallow interest, doubled and redoubled, and be mindful of Allah so that you may attain true success. 130 Keep away from the Fire prepared for the infidels; 131 And obey Allah and the Apostle, that you may be shown mercy. 132 ۞ Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous,- 133 for those who spend, both in prosperity and adversity, who restrain their anger and are forgiving towards their fellow men -- God loves those who do good works. 134 And who, when they have committed an indecency or have wronged their souls, remember God and pray that their sins be forgiven, (for who but God can forgive sins?) and do not knowingly persist in their misdeeds, 135 (As for) these-- their reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them, and excellent is the reward of the laborers. 136 Systems have passed away before you. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for those who did deny (the messengers). 137 Here is a plain statement to men, a guidance and instruction to those who fear Allah! 138 So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers. 139 If you have been struck by some misfortune, so they (the disbelievers) too have been struck earlier with the same misfortune; these are the days in which We have allotted turns to people; and so that Allah may make known the believers and may bestow martyrdom to some of you; and Allah does not befriend the unjust. 140 test the faith of the believers, and deprive the unbelievers of (His) blessings. 141 Did you suppose that you would enter Paradise without Allah knowing those of you who struggled and who were patient? 142 You were longing for death before you met it; now you have seen it, while you were beholding. 143
