Believers, do not devour usury multiplied many times over. Fear God, so that you may prosper, 130 And guard yourselves against the fire which has been prepared for the unbelievers. 131 Obey God and the Prophet, that you may be treated with mercy. 132 ۞ Hasten to obtain forgiveness from your Lord and to qualify yourselves for Paradise. Paradise, vast as the heavens and the earth, is prepared for the pious 133 Those who spend (of that which Allah hath given them) in ease and in adversity, those who control their wrath and are forgiving toward mankind; Allah loveth the good; 134 (Paradise) is also for those who, when committing a sin or doing injustice to themselves, remember God and ask Him to forgive their sins. Who can forgive sins besides God? And who do not knowingly persist in their mistakes? 135 Those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers. 136 There have been many dispensations before you; so travel in the land and see what befell those who denied the truth. 137 This is an exposition unto mankind and a guidance and an admonition unto the God-fearing. 138 Do not be discouraged or grieved. You alone will have true dignity if you only are true believers. 139 If there hath befallen you a sore, a sore like thereunto hath already befallen that people. These are the haps that We change about among mankind, that Allah may know those who believe and may take martyrs from among you; and Allah loveth not the wrong doers. 140 and that God might render pure of all dross those who have attained to faith, and bring to nought those who deny the truth. 141 Did you think that you would enter Paradise even though Allah has not yet seen who among you strove hard in His way and remained steadfast? 142 And you used to wish for death before you met it; so now you see it before your eyes. 143
