Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 Such is the one who repulses the orphans away, 2 and who does not urge the feeding of the poor? 3 So ruin is to those offerers of prayer – 4 But who are oblivious of their moral duties, 5 those who do good (in order) to be seen, 6 Who are uncharitable even over very small things. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
