Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
