In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Alif Lam Mim Sad. 1 This is a Book sent down toward thee, so let there be no straitness in thy breast therefor, that thou mayest warn thereby! and this is an admonition unto the believers. 2 [O men!] Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord and follow no masters other than Him. Little are you admonished. 3 How many a village have We laid in ruin! In the night Our Might fell upon it, or at midday when they were drowsy. 4 And when Our Might fell upon them they only said: 'We have indeed been harmdoers' 5 Most certainly then We will question those to whom (the apostles) were sent, and most certainly We will also question the apostles; 6 Then We will surely relate [their deeds] to them with knowledge, and We were not [at all] absent. 7 (Everyone's deeds) will certainly be weighed (and evaluated) on the Day of Judgment. Those whose good deeds weigh heavier than their bad deeds will have everlasting happiness. 8 As for those whose bad deeds weigh heavier, they will lose their souls for their injustice to Our revelations. 9 YEA, INDEED, [O men,] We have given you a [bountiful] place on earth, and appointed thereon means of livelihood for you: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
