In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Alif, Lam, Meem, Sad. 1 [This is] a Book revealed to you, [O Muhammad] - so let there not be in your breast distress therefrom - that you may warn thereby and as a reminder to the believers. 2 Follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord, and follow no friends other than He; little do you remember. 3 How many cities have We destroyed! Our wrath struck their people at night or during their midday siesta. 4 Then naught was their cry when Our violence came upon them save that they said: verily we have been the wrong-doers. 5 Then shall We question those to whom Our message was sent and those through whom We sent it 6 And verily, We shall recount their whole story with knowledge, for We were never absent (at any time or place). 7 And true will be the weighing on that Day; and those whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state; 8 and those whose scales are light will be the losers, for they, are the ones who have been unjust to Our signs. 9 We have established you in the earth and there appointed for you livelihood; little thanks you show. 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
