Certainly We sent Nuh to his people, so he said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; surely I fear for you the chastisement of a grievous day. 59 The chieftains of his people said: Lo! we see thee surely in plain error. 60 'I am not in error, my nation' he replied. 'I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Worlds 61 (sent) to convey to you the messages of my Lord and to advise you, for I know from Allah what you do not know. 62 What, do you wonder that a reminder from your Lord should come to you by the lips of a man from among you? That he may warn you, and you be godfearing, haply to find mercy.' 63 But they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the Ark, and We drowned those who rejected Our signs. They were indeed a blind people. 64
