Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth in succession from its (previous) possessors, that had We willed, We would have punished them for their sins. And We seal up their hearts so that they hear not? 100 Such were the townships. We relate some tidings of them unto thee (Muhammad). Their messengers verily came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they could not believe because they had before denied. Thus doth Allah print upon the hearts of disbelievers (that they hear not). 101 We did not find many among them keeping their promises. However, We did find many evil-doers among them. 102 Then We sent after them Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were unjust toward them. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 103 Moses said, 'Pharaoh, I am a Messenger from the Lord of all Being, 104 (I am) worthy of not saying anything about Allah except the truth: I have come to you indeed with clear proof from your Lord, therefore send with me the children of Israel 105 [Pharaoh] said, "If you come with a sign, then produce it, if you are telling the truth." 106 Then Moses threw down his staff and suddenly, unmistakably, it appeared as a serpent, 107 And he drew forth his hand (from his bosom), and lo! it was white for the beholders. 108
