۞ He it is Who created you from a single being, and of the same (kind) did He make his mate, that he might incline to her; so when he covers her she bears a light burden, then moves about with it; but when it grows heavy, they both call upon Allah, their Lord: If Thou givest us a good one, we shall certainly be of the grateful ones. 189 And yet, as soon as He has granted them sound [offspring,] they begin to ascribe to other powers beside Him a share in bringing about what He has granted them! Sublimely exalted, however, is God - above anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 190 Do they (the pagans) consider things that do not create anything but are themselves created equal to God? 191 And who cannot succour them, nor can succour themselves. 192 If you call them to guidance, they will not follow you. It is the same whether you call them or you are silent. 193 Lo! those on whom ye call beside Allah are slaves like unto you. Call on them now, and let them answer you, if ye are truthful! 194 Do they (the idols) have feet to walk, hands to hold things, eyes to see, and ears to hear? (Muhammad), tell them (the pagans) to call on their idols for help and to plan against Me without delay. 195 "For my Protector is Allah, Who revealed the Book (from time to time), and He will choose and befriend the righteous. 196 Those whom you invoke, other than Him, cannot help you, nor can they help themselves' 197 When you call upon them for guidance, they do not hear. When you think they are looking at you, (in fact) they cannot see." 198 Keep to forgiveness (O Muhammad), and enjoin kindness, and turn away from the ignorant. 199 If you are instigated by the Devil to evil seek refuge in God, for God hears all and knows everything. 200 Indeed, those who fear Allah - when an impulse touches them from Satan, they remember [Him] and at once they have insight. 201 and their brothers they lead on into error, then they stop not short. 202 And when you bring them not a revelation they say: Why do you not forge it? Say: I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord; these are clear proofs from your Lord and a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe. 203 And when the Koran is recited, give you ear to it and be silent; haply so you will find mercy. 204 And remember your Lord by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and with fear without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the afternoons and be not of those who are neglectful. 205 [The angels] who are near to Your Lord, never turn away from His service out of arrogance; they rather glorify Him and prostrate themselves before Him. ۩ 206
True are the words of God the Almighty.
