Al-Anfaal 6 of 10

O Ye who believe! when ye meet a party, stand firm and remember Allah much, that haply ye may fare well. 45 And pay heed unto God and His Apostle, and do not [allow yourselves to] be at variance with one another, lest you lose heart and your moral strength desert you. And be patient in adversity: for, verily, God is with those who are patient in adversity. 46 Do not be like those who marched out boastfully to show off their strength to people and hinder people from the way of God. God encompasses everyone's activities. 47 And [remember] when Satan made their deeds pleasing to them and said, "No one can overcome you today from among the people, and indeed, I am your protector." But when the two armies sighted each other, he turned on his heels and said, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed I fear Allah. And Allah is severe in penalty." 48
