O you who believe! seek assistance through patience and prayer; surely Allah is with the patient. 153 Do not say that those who are killed in God's cause are dead; they are alive, but you are not aware of it. 154 And most certainly shall We try you by means of danger, and hunger, and loss of worldly goods, of lives and of [labour's] fruits. But give glad tidings unto those who are patient in adversity 155 who, when calamity befalls them, say: "Verily, unto God do we belong and verily, unto Him we shall return." 156 On those will be prayers and mercy from their Lord, those are guided. 157 ۞ Surely the Safa and the Marwa are among the signs appointed by Allah; so whoever makes a pilgrimage to the House or pays a visit (to it), there is no blame on him if he goes round them both; and whoever does good spontaneously, then surely Allah is Grateful, Knowing. 158 Those who hide the authoritative proofs and the guidance that We have revealed, after it has been made clear for the People of the Book, will be condemned by God and those who have the right to condemn. 159 But from those who repent and mend their ways and make known the truth, I will certainly accept their repentance: I am the Ever Relenting, the Most Merciful. 160 But those who disbelieve, and die disbelieving shall incur the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. 161 They will abide therein: Their penalty will not be lightened, nor will respite be their (lot). 162 And your Allah is One Allah: There is no god but He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. 163
