We have created the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay 26 And the Jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind. 27 And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter's clay of black mud altered, 28 When I have formed him and breathed My spirit into him, fall down in prostration before him," 29 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 "How is it, O Iblis," said (the Lord), "you did not join those who bowed in homage?" 32 He said: I am not such that I should make obeisance to a mortal whom Thou hast created of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 33 Allah said: then get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art one damned. 34 and [My] rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 35 "O my Lord," said he, "give me respite till the day the dead are raised." 36 Answered He: "Verily, so be it: thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 37 till that Appointed Day." 38 [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all 39 But not such of them as are Thy bondmen single-hearted. 40 Allah said: "Here is the path that leads straight to Me. 41 Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 being perverse; Gehenna shall be their promised land all together. 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44
