Indeed We created man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud. 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 When your Lord said to the angels, "I will create the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay. 28 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My Spirit fall down unto him prostrate. 29 So, the angels - all of them - fell down in prostration, 30 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. 31 God asked Iblis, "What made you not join the others in prostration?" 32 He replied, "I am not one to prostrate myself to a man whom You have created out of a clay of moulded mud." 33 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed. 34 and [My] rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 35 Iblis prayed, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Judgment". 36 Allah said: verily then thou art of the respited: 37 unto the day of a known time.' 38 He said, "My Lord, since You have let me go astray. I shall make the path of error seem alluring to them on the earth and shall mislead them all, 39 But not such of them as are Thy bondmen single-hearted. 40 (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. 41 Lo! as for My slaves, thou hast no power over any of them save such of the froward as follow thee, 42 being perverse; Gehenna shall be their promised land all together. 43 it has seven gates: and each gate has a portion of them allotted to it. 44
