VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 'Enter you them, in peace and security!' 46 And [by then] We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their breasts, [and they shall rest] as brethren, facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 47 Toil shall not afflict them in it, nor shall they be ever ejected from it. 48 ۞ Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind, 49 And that My punishment-- that is the painful punishment. 50 And inform them of Ibrahim’s guests. 51 When they came to Abraham they said: "Peace be upon you!" He replied: "Indeed we feel afraid of you." 52 'Do not be afraid' they answered. 'We come to give you glad tidings of a knowledgeable child' 53 Abraham asked, "Are you giving me the glad news of a son in my old age? What reason can you give for such glad news?" 54 give me good tidings?' They said, 'We give thee good tidings of truth. Be not of those that despair.' 55 He replied: 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, except those that are astray? 56 He said: What is your business then, O apostles? 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 Only the family of Lot will all be saved, 59 but his wife. We decreed that she should be amongst those who remain behind. 60
