So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 He said: Surely you are an unknown people. 62 They replied, "We have come to you about the matter which the (unbelievers) have rejected. 63 We truly tell you that we have brought to you the Truth. 64 "So leave with your family late in the night, yourself remaining in the rear, and let none turn back to look, and go where you will be commanded." 65 And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning. 66 And the people of the city came [unto Lot,] rejoicing at the glad tiding. 67 and he told them, "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 And keep your duty to Allah, and shame me not! 69 They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?" 70 He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doing.' 71 Verily by your life they were utterly confused in their (lustful) drunkenness. 72 and the Cry seized them at the sunrise, 73 And We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 This (city) lies on a road that still survives. 76 Verily there is a Sign in this for the believers. 77 Certainly the dwellers in the Thicket were evildoers, 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
