And when the envoys came to the family of Lot, 61 He said: "You are people I do not know." 62 They said: nay! we have come to thee with that whereof they have been dubitating. 63 "We have brought to thee that which is inevitably due, and assuredly we tell the truth. 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 He said, “These are my guests – do not dishonour me.” 68 And keep your duty to Allah, and shame me not! 69 They replied: 'Have we not forbidden you (the people of) the worlds' 70 He said, "Here are my daughters, if you must act in this way." 71 By thy life, in their intoxication they were wandering bewildered. 72 Therefore the scream overcame them at sunrise. 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 And surely it is on a road that still abides. 76 Surely, in that there is a sign for those who believe. 77 The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked. 78 We therefore took revenge from them; and indeed both these townships are situated on an open road. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
