Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 he said: "Surely you are an unknown folk." 62 They said, "No, but we bring you news about what they disputed, 63 We truly tell you that we have brought to you the Truth. 64 "Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered." 65 And We decreed unto him this commandment because the last of those was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 And the people of the city came, rejoicing at the news (of new arrivals). 67 He said: Lo! they are my guests. Affront me not! 68 Fear Allah and do not disgrace me' 69 They replied, "Did we not forbid you to bring anyone to your house?" 70 He said: these are my daughters, if act ye must. 71 By your life, (O Prophet), they went about blindly stumbling in their intoxication. 72 And thereupon the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at the time of sunrise, 73 And We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay. 74 Verily, in all this there are messages indeed for those who can read the signs: 75 That town lies on a road which still exists. 76 In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the believers. 77 And the dwellers of the wood surely were wrong-doers. 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79
