And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
