AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 About their deeds. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
