And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 For all their deeds. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
