The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 Those who broke the Word of Allah into several parts. (Those who broke the Torah / Bible or changed its text – or those who called the Qur’an a fabrication / poetry.) 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
