Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Your Lord is the Creator, the Knower. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 for whatever they have done! 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
