He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture; 10 He causes to grow for you thereby the crops, olives, palm trees, grapevines, and from all the fruits. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought. 11 And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense. 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 And He it is Who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty (by transporting the goods from place to place) and that you may be grateful. 14 He has set up on the earth firm mountains, lest it shake under you, and rivers and tracks, so that you may find your way, 15 and He has set up other landmarks. By these and by the stars people set their course. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 If you count God's blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 18 God knows all that you conceal or reveal. 19 And those upon whom they call beside Allah have not created aught, and are themselves created. 20 Dead, without life they are, and do not know when they will be raised. 21
