He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture; 10 and by virtue of which He causes crops and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit to grow for you. Surely in this there is a great Sign for those who reflect. 11 He has made the night and the day and the sun and the moon subservient to you; and all the stars are subservient to His command. Surely in this there are signs for men of understanding. 12 And there are also Signs for those who take heed in the numerous things of various colours that He has created for you on earth. 13 It is He who has subdued the sea that you may eat fresh meat from it, and obtain ornaments to wear. You see the ships plough through it that you may seek of His bounties and, perhaps, be grateful. 14 And He placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake along with you, and streams and roads for you to find course. 15 and He has set up other landmarks. By these and by the stars people set their course. 16 So, could one who creates be like one who cannot? Will you not then contemplate? 17 Even if you wanted to count up all of God's blessings, you would not be able to. God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 18 and God knows all that you keep secret as well as all that you bring into the open. 19 , As for those they call besides God, they cannot create a thing, and have themselves been created. 20 they are dead, not living, and they do not [even] know when they will be raised from the dead! 21
